Adriane Dehghan

Adriane Dehghan earned her bachelors of science in biology from NC State University in Raleigh, NC in 2008.  After working summers in a Nursing Home with Alzheimer's patients, she found her love for taking care of others.  She then went on to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Carolina University in Asheville, NC.  She began her nursing career as a Neuro ICU nurse, where she worked for eleven years.  During this time she also pursued a master's of science in nursing education and served as adjunct faculty in the nursing program at Wake Tech in Raleigh, NC.  Her path then lead her to pursue her post-master's Family Nurse Practitioner degree from UNCW in 2019, where she then went to practice primary and urgent care.  Adriane has recently graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice from UNCW in 2022.  She believes that education is a life-long learning experience, especially in today's ever-changing healthcare field.

 

Adriane has recently joined Gupta Psychiatry in 2022.  She has experience with depression, anxiety and ADHD, but has a special love for postpartum depression and anxiety, and the maternal/paternal struggles of parenthood.  She chose to pursue psychiatry as her field of practice because of the overwhelming need for mental health in our community.  So many of her patients were not receiving mental healthcare care and their mental health needs were being overlooked, while primarily focusing on the physical aspect of healthcare.  Adriane believes in a holistic approach to healthcare and that the mind, body and spirit are deeply connected.  

 

Adriane enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, two dogs and many fish.  She also enjoys spending time at the beach, gardening and enjoying the outdoors.
