Alexis Campbell

Alexis Campbell, DMSc, MPAP, PA-C

Alexis grew up in the Piedmont region of North Carolina but now resides in Charlotte with her husband, kids and two dogs. She enjoys spending afternoons on the lake, hiking and swimming. She loves to connect with people and learn about the world by traveling.

Alexis graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2014 with a B.A. in Global Health & Environment and completed her Master of Physician Assistant Practice training at Campbell University in 2018. She then went on to complete her Doctorate of Medical Science from the University of Lynchburg in 2021.

Through her experiences in urgent care and emergency medicine, Alexis found that she was often meeting patients in a time of crisis. This often left her wondering what could have been done differently in the proceeding weeks or months to prevent the current circumstance. She also learned first hand how closely mental and physical health are interconnected, further supporting her philosophy that mental wellness is just as important as physical health.

Alexis wishes to ignite positive change in healthcare delivery and reach patients in a more holistic, impactful and meaningful manner in the outpatient setting. She believes in decreasing societal stigma surrounding mental healthcare and teaching patients how to be their own best advocate. Alexis also emphasizes that mental health deserves the same respect as the physical because the successful union of the two is what makes a person healthy.

Alexis is invested in connecting with patients as a Physician Assistant on a genuine and empathetic level. She strongly believes in a collaborative patient care environment and wants to assist patients in achieving the most well, healthy and whole version of themselves.
